Abstract Cost-effective building energy optimization solutions have a strategic function to assist German and European policies for the simple reason that buildings account 40% of total consumption in Europe. The International Energy Agency considers efficiency as first fuel major resource. In this work, cost-effective system consisting 14 different wireless network embedded sensors, control units (actuators), communication protocol, multi-dimensional information management system, context sensitive graphical user interfaces software with artificial intelligence-backed algorithms is examined. R&D activity accomplished ‘Intelligent Building Management System’ research project, which funded by State Lower Saxony (Germany) frame Innovation Support Program between years 2014 2018. ‘Energy Optimization System (EOS)’, subject research, reduces use CO2 emissions through energy-consuming systems, such heating, cooling, lighting systems home/office appliances support an integrated solution intelligence-based hardware. deployed validated two appropriately selected test Germany.
